This is the switchblade of powder boards and it will slash the backcountry like no other. While many great powder boards are large and surfy, the Kazu Kokubo Pro comes in a compact chassis with a powder nose and a slightly tapered tail, making this back-to-back Transworld Good wood Award-winning series quick and maneuverable. It unleashes maximum power through the FSC® Certified Panda Core™ with Bamboo Power Rods™ and is loaded with high-end construction components like a Core Ash Woodgrain topsheet, a new HyperDrive™ high-speed sintered base, and Amplitex™ V-Tech Amplifiers. While it's a lofty goal, this board is your first step towards trying to emulate Kazu's legendary riding style.

  • Our Take: This board is designed for a rider who needs something stiff and powerful, but is built with the freestyle rider in mind. Beefed up in the core with AMPLITEX™ AMPLIFIERS and Bamboo, tapered in the tail to sink in POW and boasting a slight rock in the nose, this board is designed to be ridden a little shorter than expected and still perform to its specifications. Mount this thing on center, no need to set her back unless you can’t see out of your first-floor windows, the design genius in this board is having the ability to ride a centered freestyle stance while maintaining the effortless float of a powder board.
  • Rider Profile: Strong rider who isn’t afraid of a powerful, stiff board that rides most reminiscent of traditional cambered boards. This rider is popping off cliff drops, seeking side hits and is riding terrain that requires a powerful board to serve as a landing gear in tough situations. Built for the light of foot, not the light of heart.
  • Recommended Bindings: UNION Ultra, Falcor, Atlas or Force will be your top choices for this board. Being a stiff board not only in torsional flex, but also tip-to-tail, you need a binding that can deliver your body’s commands to the board that you are depending on to get the job done. Force and Atlas will give you unmatched power with their more structured design and the Falcor and Ultra will give you optimal board feel while providing precision with their Forged Carbon highbacks.
  • Recommended Boot Size: 12 and under
